Has anyone gotten Appoxee to work with Android?

I started to follow the Appoxee instruction to integrate Appoxee in my Android app, but got stuck on step 4 when the real coding begins. Has anyone done this successfully? Can you share your experience and maybe some helpful tips to integrate this with the Buzztouch Android code? Here is a link to the Appoxee Android instructions I referenced above. http://www.appoxee.com/AppoxeeWebManager/iphoneCode/installationAndroid.html

Hi @Moto110, Did you download a class like shown in step 4? If not just create a new class from the com.package name. LA

Hi Moto110, I wasted more than a day on this one and then some more time after that as well! I got awfully close but some of the manifest.xml wasn't right (I think). I contacted appoxee support with the app delegate code, manifest.xml code etc but they couldn't help much. I did offer to right up a tutorial if I got it working but they didn't seem keen to support a non paying customer :( Things might be a bit easier now that David has most of the GCM code in the downloads (I haven't tried since those changes were made). I also think that @Atrain53 was working on getting it implemented as a plugin but not sure how far he has got with this one. I'd also love to know "who has it working on Android"! Cheers Darrel

I do have it working, but wanted to give it a good test with the new GCM code that is in the new 2.1.8 source code. David stole some of my entries in the AndroidManifest with GCM for BT PN. I really need to see this work in a production enviro now along with BT PN in the app. Seems like GCM has been flaky with BT so was waiting that out a bit to see folks get it going and working on lots of other stuff in the meantime.

On the iOS side I had to comment out a lot of the BT push notification code to get Appoxee to work properly. @ATRAIN53 - Are you planning on releasing an Android plug in to integrate Appoxee?

I haven't tinkered with the GCM yet, waiting to see BT resolve that before I know and revisit the code. But probably not a 'general' market release, I would likely get buried with supporting it and walking people thru the install. You have to modify a few files to make it work and then you can customize it on top of that. I'd rather work with a developer to add it to a project so I'm sure it's done in a manner I know I can support. The main reason for that is because companies do change/upgrade their SDK's. Selling a plug-in obligates me. I'd rather do something like this on a per-client/project basis.
