Transfer Apps to Self hosting Package

I recently upgraded to Self Hosting and would like to transfer all my apps across, can this be done? If so how? If I cannot transfer my apps, will I still get the same benefits as Self Hosting on my BT control panel account? Any advice will be appreciated.

I can answer the first question - there is no automated way to transfer an app from one control panel to another. When faced with this, I open two browsers, get a cuppa and start cutting and pasting one screen at a time!

Hey @Dragon007, Have you tried the JSON Snippet Keeper plugin. This might save some time. LA

Hi LA no I haven't; I was told that the snippet won't allow for updates, do you know if this is true?

Hey @Dragon007, Not sure about that but thought @Stobe said something about it on his latest buzzcast. LA

Snippet keeper has it's place for sure, but if you want the whole app to reside on your self hosted,it is all manual copying each screen to the best of my knowledge. Alan

There is a new add-on at buzztouchmods that is for copying apps, but the small print is it doesn't copy menus or data. I tried it out, but I was a bit disappointed, by the time I figured out what was going wrong I decided it was easier to start again and just cut and paste everything using two browsers, but that be just me. If you want to check it out, the link can be found in this post - http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=304A2A13248AA427C1685C5

I suppose that just does a similar job as snippet keeper?

It is a bit different, this one actually creates screens in a new app.
