help with first app

Hi Just trying to run my first app in Android - using the PDF and Share-via-email plugins. The pdf doc is from a URL. 1. On trying to open the PDF, it says file not downloaded yet. 2. With Share by email - it gives a message 'No applications can perform this action.' I am not sure where I have gone wrong. Could anyone point me in the right direction please. (sorry if I have missed anything already in the forum) Thanks.

Hi @emmaar, Welcome to buzztouch! For Android, you'll need to have an app installed on your device/emulator that is able to read PDF files. That's not necessary on iOS, because it has that built in. If it's saying it can't download the PDF, make sure whatever your testing on has a network connection (try using the URL in the browser to make sure the file is accessible). Same holds true for the Share by Email screen. If you don't have an email program on your device (configured and usable), the app will complain. Lots more information about what's going on can be found in the LogCat screen in Eclipse while you're running your app. If things still aren't working, let us know, and we'll help get it worked out. Mark

Hi Mark Thanks for your reply. The share-via-email is working now - after I set up email accnt on the emulator. Next I will be trying with the pdf-reader. Thanks for your help.
