Maps Freeze app crashes when loading

Hey guys, I've been working very hard to try and make my first app and it is almost finished. However, when I go to load the map through the app it seems it loads all of the pinned locations and then freezes. The first time i fixed this i moved the simulator location to Australia, where all the pins are, now as i have over 8-900 pins across australia its freezing again. Any help would be amazing as i still have alot to learn on developing apps!

Hi Ian, It is happening on both the Simulator and my device. I am getting this error throw breakpoint - int retVal= UIApplicationMain(argc,argv,@"UIApplication",@"kebapp_appDelegate"); (signal SIGABRT) and this is what is coming up in the command box (not sure of proper terminology yet) - libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception Thanks!

I had the same issue when I tested one of my app adding a map with 1000 pins. The map items were loaded using a json file downloaded from dropbox; the file was small but I think that the parser(?) didn't deal with them easily. I used an iphone 4s, it freezed but it didn't crash; but the user experience would have been awful. I looked around for some clustering tool (like this http://getsuperpin.com) but I haven't used them yet. Kahuna

Hi Mike, Try going through all of the locations CoOrds and deleting/changing any of them that look out of place, for example most are 100 and 1 is -100, i edited about 6-7 coords and i had it working :) Hope this helps
