Self Hosted 2.18 + Madrod = WAR

hey, guys, so I'm clearly at war with self hosted 2.18, and obviously losing. It started with the magical..... magic quotes... Got ride of that error creating a php.ini file. Then I got an error looking for a dbtimezone.so file... added this to the php.ini file: extension_dir = /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060626 This was the directory it was looking for and did not exist, created it and added that code to the php.ini file. Now I get the same error but looking for the pdo_mysql.so file... I'm sure after this it will be missing something else. I know most of the BT members updated with no trouble, what could be diferent to cause this? These errors not only are annouying but they ae creating bad jason files, so my control panel is useless at this point. Thanks. Miguel

It sounds like once you've opened the 'php door' it wants all kinds of stuff... Sorry you're not out of the woods yet... I found another 'possibility' that might help... http://drupal.org/node/290592 Basically what they're doing is obtaining a copy of the 'host' php.ini file, and bringing it into a directory for you to view/edit. Perhaps it can give you some insight on what modules are being requested. And not sure what version of PHP you're running, but whatever files you need can be found here: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/php/php-src/branches/ Make sure the versions are the same, or the results can be... unexpected. Hope this helps! Cheers! -- Smug

Hi, Thanks smug. This is a bit out of my league.... I know I have php 5.3.16 I'm not sure where to create the folder is looking for, and should I create a pdomysql.so file and paste of the codes in the second link you sent? There are lots of test files, dont know which to use. Thanks. Miguel

Since I updated to 2.1.8 I have had problems: PHP error, parsing problems and problems when I try to download the source code, screen problems. Right now I have to stop using my own BT server and instead work with my app using the online BT server.

Glad it isn't just me - I have a problem that prevents me downloading any app I had previosuly built. I'm hoping that the BT team is aware and busy working at a few fixes for us all.

'Some' fixes have been implemented. What you'll want to do is download the 2.1.8 package and copy over newer files... Cheers! -- Smug
