Hi Everyone...Stupid Question?

I want to build an app that displays a new screen of text after a menu button is clicked. Will an html text document compile in android where everything stays internal? I would like to stay away from opening a word or pdf document from a web page if possible. I would appreciate any guidance.

You can easily do this - just use the "html document" plugin and save the html file in your BT_documents folder.

Sure, if you want. Adding an HTML Screen would allow use on either Android, iOS, or anywhere really... If the HTML includes Javascript, you'll need to make a small change in your compile directions to 'not' compile the page, but otherwise it's no big deal. The bonus is, if it ever 'does' change, you can make the change in the control panel from internal to external, and let the app download and cache it. Cheers! -- Smug

Well, as with any dynamic document, a webpage will typically 'adjust' to it's container, in your case an mobile browser. Although I still think it would look better than a Doc or Pdf. There are specific element properties that you can add to your HTML to ensure it renders exactly how you want regardless of screen. Check out Tizag's tutorials on HTML, and pay attention where it talks about things like element 'width' and 'span' and such... http://www.tizag.com and if that's not good enough, let us know some specifics and I'll be happy to lend what little I can to the effort.
