upadating android app

I know it must be right in front of my eyes, but I want to update a just updated app (forgot to put in icon), but I can't see where on the google play developer site you do this. I see where you can upload a new apk but I don't see where first you would tell them a new version is coming with appropriate description of what is in new version. Thanks Steve

The icon that gets put on the device. I assume that's what's put in app icon in Buzztouch. The icon seen on the devices is the BT. I would love if there was an easy way, but I have a feeling I have to recompile and do the entire dance. But I still don't see in google play where I tell it a new version is coming. If there's a way just to give them the icon, I'd be in heaven.

If you mean the 'display' icon, it's called icon.png and it's located in your binary; in the res/drawable folder. Cheers! -- Smug

Yes, I can put one in there but how do I then get it to my app? I assum I've got to go through the whole routine as I did when I originally sent in the app. I know how to let iTunes be aware of an update, I just don't see how to let android know.

You compile in in your app. If you forgot your icon, you'll have to recompile. Set it to version 1.0.1 or something you prefer, re-sign it with your release key, and upload an updated version. Cheers! -- Smug

OK, but in ios I tell itunes that a new release is coming and also write a few words about what's in it. There's no equivalent with android?

Also do I really have to go through the whole compiling process or just replace the icon.png file with the proper one in eclipse, make the change in BT, selecting the png file to where it says choose file, and copy the resulting config file to eclipse. This would save me from renaming the new compiled code and re-dragging all my old files into the new compiled folder.
