Hello from New England

My name is Kristin. I'm so excited to have found buzztouch.com. I've been wanting to learn about developing apps for quite some time so I'm very happy to be here. I am sure I will have lots of questions and will also help when I can so I look forward to meeting new people and making new friends who share a similar passion.

Hey Kristen! You'll find all the information you need around here, just take a quick snoop! You've got a star, so you're already doing the BTU courses, that's a great start! If you have questions or any issues, someone in the forums is usually around to jump in with an answer or a suggestion, just relax and have fun learning! Cheers! -- Smug

I actually organise meets over in Oxford in the UK (the one with the really famous university). If only your location was Hampshire in England, then you'd be 40 miles from me. Because your location is New Hampshire in New England, you're just a bit too far. Ps. Did you really have to hijack our names!

Hello again. I have a question and am not sure that any of the forums really fit so hopefully you guys can help me here? I have an app in mind and I'd like users to be able to use the app on their phone or on a website. My question is this, do I build the website first or build the app first? Or does it really make a difference? Thanks so much for your help!

Hi KristinT, It sounds like you'll be using a lot of HTML screens in your app? Just to be clear, you would build your app here at buzztouch and the website would be built by someone else. Did this answer your question?

That is a good question Ian. I'm too new to the whole process so I'm not quite sure how to answer that just yet. I have built websites via godaddy, which doesn't take any coding knowledge but assuming I get good (the videos are amazing so far so I'm hopeful!)I will build my own site. I just didn't know if it was preferred to do the app before the website or vise versa.

Most users build an app here at buzztouch then also have a website to promote the app and give users more info about the app with the website
