Question About In App Purchase

Hi I have been pondering on whether to use IAP for one of my apps, but I'm unsure how it all works. I have two questions really and that is: 1. How do I add downloadable content, in this case, audio files? 2. Can I offer free downloadable content, in this case audio files? I have seen one tutorial on BT using the IAP plugin but there's no mention of the different options available and I'm not sure who host the content. Basically, I don't get it!

Sorry I can't answer this; so far my apps don't use any of this... But it sounds like a great question for one of the webinars... Cheers! -- Smug

Hi Dragon, I'm not sure if I understand well: do you want to know where to host your downloadable content (device or cloud?) or how you can then store the downloaded content. I've been testing the IAP for one of my apps; in my case the IAP points to a map plugin which download its JSON from my Dropbox. In your case I'd create a button or menu item inside a menu: from there the user would see the IAP. In the IAP plugin you define which screen (a single screen or even a menu) that the user will be allowed to access once he has completed the purchase. You could probably use the audio plugin but I'm not sure if it allows only the streaming or the download of the contents. Your audio files could be inside your xcode project or in the cloud (using dropbox for example) being sure they can be accessed only if the user completed the IAP. Cheers, Kahuna
