How does splash screen transition back to main menu?

Platform: xcode and Buzztouch 2.0 Finally figured out how to create a splash screen that animates and fades away, but to what? A blank screen. I click on it and nothing happens. Anyway to link this back to my main screen? I have linked my splash screen to the default theme in “themes” which is active. In the manage screens section I click on splash screen and set animation settings at -1/5/fade splash screen away. Background colour set to clear. When you stop project and rerun, then it opens with splash image and you click it and it goes to the menu. But when you do the quiz again it freezes on the blank screen again. Any ideas would be great. Thanks again Min

You'll want to designate a 'home' page. You would do this in your 'layout' tab. Make sure it matches a valid screen, and not an action. Cheers! -- Smug PS, if you're running a 2.1.8 self hosted, a few of us have issues with the layout screen not displaying the available screen choices. If this is the case for you, you'll have to note the 'nickname' (not NavBar name) of the desired screen, and manually enter/save it on the layout config.

Thanks for the quick response. I have a tabbed layout setup and all is ok except after finishing the quiz I see my splash image and it fades to black when clicked. I can't get to the main layout again. The splash screen is just a small image in the buzztouch images. No self hosting or code editing...I'm a beginner newbie. I'm missing something here...any ideas? The splash image can only be used when the app starts it sounds like you have set it to show the splash as a rewards screen of the quiz. Look at it this way the splash isn't a screen per se it's a window that sits over a screen with an image in it. It works as a splash on start by loading the splash and your home screen at the same time, if you set your splash screen to clear with touch you will see your home screen, but can't interact with it until touch. Hope that makes sense.

Hmmm...that makes sense. I think I just need a way to have an image as a reward screen, and after you see the image you click it and return to the main screen. Any ideas on how to do this that will work on ios and android, without the user having to download additional software? Thanks Min

You could use the button menu plugin with a background image and big invisible buttons linking to wherever you want to go.

Thanks everyone. Those were great suggestions. I think I have it with custom html with the background image. If this doesn't work I'll try the menu plugin again. Thanks again for all the help and support. Min

I would advise to use the blank plugin and use an image as a background. I would avoid using a button to go back to the home screen and instead use the back buttons to go back to the start. If you do it your way you will create massive repetetition and the user will be able to back constantly. With return to menu menuscreen -> quiz -> link to menu (reward) -> menuscreen -> quiz -> menuscreen -> link to menu (reward) etc With blank plugin menuscreen -> quiz -> blank screen (can go no further time to go back) You will make the tree endless

Got it. Here is one solution that worked. Need to use custom Html with background image....don't use splash. Splash is only at the beginning of an app not the beginning of a button. Thanks everyone who responded or viewed this post. We really have a great community here. Thanks again Min
