BT 2.0 Quiz. Problem?

Hi. I've had a user of a quiz with 276 questions (only 10 at a time) who was playing the same quiz over and over say he starts seeing all the same questions again pretty soon and that he reckoned they he'd only seen 30 different questions. (Yeah I know, doesn't put the quiz questions in best light:) I have noticed myself it seems like you get a lot of repeats early on (repeatedly) - which of course can happen if its random. I know MGoBlue had a tweak for the 1.5 quiz but that seems to have been added to the 2.0 quiz. Is the user on to something? Does the quiz produce a lot of repeats earlier on unnecessarily? Even if it doesn't is there anyway to improve the user perception so that they are more likely to get a greater range of the questions for more plays? Thanks!

I've been testing the BT 2.0 Quiz and have noticed the same problem. Same questions repeat over and over.

I just tested and didn't get any duplicates in the first six times through the quiz (400 questions, 10 at a time). I'll try some more when I have a chance. Here's a test file with 400 questions. All the questions are numbered. I used this and logged all the questions in an excel spreadsheet. You may want to try the same to see if there's a pattern. Maybe there's a simple fix in the code. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76141353/triviatest.txt

Good idea MGoBlue I'll paste this into a project to test the code. It's really about putting my mind at rest. Thanks! I did actually look at your 1.5 quiz post and noticed a second similar tweak you mentioned you were trying but didn't see any mention of results (was a while ago though so I'll have to search for it) selfsupport - yeah, I'm hoping to work out whether this is just our brains seeking patterns or whether they're actually there

@AppOneBeta - I think the other tweak was changing the random order of the answers. If you search in your source code (BT_screen_quiz.m) in line 852 change random() to arc4random(). That will give you a truly random display of the answers.
