Problem: Download Plugins from your buzztouch.com Control Panel

Hi All, I have entered everything I needed to in the config.php to download Plugins from my buzztouch.com Control Panel. The list "Downloadable Plugins" populate, but will not install. Any suggestions? Jake

Have you tried downloading them directly from the BT Control panel, and uploading from the Self Hosted Control Panel? (I'm curious... I can't upload locally, but I can from the BT control panel... Kind of odd some of the varied symptoms...) Cheers! -- Smug

I'm just musing out loud, because this is an interesting problem.... LA and I have issues with plugins, due to the 'readme.txt' file. However, he was able to replace the original file back and 'fix' the problem (of loading a plugin). I however, was not able to replace, rename, copy, paste or whatever. It just didn't like the file. I have to import it from the BT server to get a plugin loaded. No local upload, either via Zip/Refresh or FTP/Refresh. I always get a 'readme.txt' error. You're not able to bring them over from the control panel, and we don't know if you can upload locally. So it makes me wonder what could these issues have in common, and is it 'just us'? If it is, then perhaps it's something in our configuration. I don't have much of a php.ini file, but what I do have looks ok, unless I misunderstand allow_url_fopen. You don't happen to host with Network Solutions by any chance? Cheers! -- Smug

@SmugWimp Nope, I am at Host Gator. Do we need a special port to connect to the Buzztouch.com Control Panel? Jake

Hey @Jake Chasan, You should just be able to put everything needed or required in the config. file and click upload. Can you upload them one by one after downloading from the buzztouch control panel? LA

Hey @Jake Chasan, I'm not a tech guy but I would recheck all your settings with the API and your config. If all of them are correct, then I would say check with your hosting company. Maybe some one else is experiencing this problem, so who do you have, if you don't mind sharing? LA

In your config.php file you will want to enter your buzztouch.com name and password into the following fields: /* buzztouch.com User Email Address, Password */ define("APP_BT_ACCOUNT_USEREMAIL", "YOUR_BUZZTOUCH_ACCOUNT_LOGIN"); define("APP_BT_ACCOUNT_USERPASS", "YOUR_BUZZTOUCH_ACCOUNT_PASSWORD");

I have done this, but the same problem occurs. I am hosted with Host Gator. Is there a specific port which needs to be opened?

I can't load a new plugin either. Tried the new way through the control panel, but also can't anymore using the old method.

Disregard, fixed. Think I had a typo for my key_secret.
