Self Hosted 2.18 Trouble

Hey guys, I'm still having trouble using the selfhosted CP. First I got the magic quotes problem. Turned out I didn't have a php.ini file. I created one with a help of a BT user, and know I get a: Oops, a PHP error was trapped. File: Unknown Line: 0 Message: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/timezonedb.so' - /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/timezonedb.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I'm unable to download, the package is created but it doesn't download. I can get the package from the tempo folder via ftp. But the config file is not a valid json file. So it appears that my control panel is not creating valid json files.... I get erros like this on in the json validater: Parse error on line 18088: ... } ] }}<divstyle='border: 1 --------------------^ Expecting 'EOF', '}', ',', ']' Any suggestions? Thanks, Miguel

That error means it's looking for the timezonedb.so file (a php library). 'No such file or directory' means the script cant find it where it 'thinks' it should be. Ask your hosting provider if it's available, and how to implement it. You may need to edit your php.ini file a little more... Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks Smug, I'm waiting for the support reply. I just don't understand why it's looking for that. First was the magic quotes, that went away. Now this, probably after this is solved, some other thing will appear. I just hate and am pissed for my lack of knowlegde in this stuff... Thanks. Miguel

Hey, 2.18 runs smoothly, after you've set it up. I understand that a few of us, but a very small percentage, I'd say, had some trouble updating. This mostly due to environment settings in the server where you self host. Cheers. Miguel
