API Key

While doing the API Key update process I noticed that the self hosted server currently has different information for the API Key and API secret than my Account lists here but everything works. Should I change the site to the settings of what shows in my control panel? What would be the impact of doing that?

The info you see in your buzztouch.com control panel goes into your self hosted BT server config.php file, per the set of instructions on the final step of the install/upgrade process. There are three values you need to copy/paste into the config file, and they're all there in your buzztouch.com control panel. Mark

I understand that however my server had those values in the db already from when I originally setup. The values I have from the original install a year ago are different from the values on BT.com control panel. Should I change them to the values in my BT.com control panel and if I do will it break anything i.e. existing apps compiled off of the old settings?

The api stuff is for packing up the code only. It doesn't affect any of your currently compiled apps. So, you should be fine if you need to change them. I didn't have these values in the new section of the config.php file that needs modifying...I had to put them there myself.

I don't see api secret key in the buzztouch account panel, so I cannot enter it into config.php file. Where do I get it?

You entered it on your buzztouch account when you set up the API in the first place. If you don't remember it, just re-enter it. (Log into your buzz touch account. Choose 'Self Hosted Servers' on the left panel. Click your server name, and click modify to change it.)

Thank you, but I still do not see any old apps from the files folder. And they are there, only version 2.1.8 does NOT see them.
