Push Revisited: The Tutorials...

Now that 2.1.8 has been released to Self Hosters, it's time to configure PUSH. For those (like me) who haven't tackled it yet, here are a couple of recent tutorials on the subject: David's Push Summary for Self Hosting: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?fid=52A6E6262A9A044B4EB9548&tid=52A6E6262A9A044B4EB9548 Niraj's Push Tutorial for Apple: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=967BAC6758D9076BF32E1FF&fid=F20BFC687F9577D1949F487&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1 Sandeep's Push Tutorial/Video for Android: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=E0575C8397CC35743BD1573&fid=BC70C36A743CD4FAD95D17F&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=15 Raoul's Video for Apple (Which includes a link to Jakes PDF tutorial): https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=846F554652CD323566811BE&currentPage=1 Hope these help! FYI: It took me hours to get push notifications working. I was trying to upload the .pem file and I kept on getting the error: "Invalid File Type. .pem files only. You tried to upload a file named AppFile.pem" Turns out, the problem was the browser I was using (Opera)... there was nothing wrong with the file. If you get the error and you are uploading a valid .pem, switch to Safari.

I can add this to the list - it was written when I wanted to get an Android app up an running for development mode - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44302941/HowTo%20Android%20Push%20with%20GCM%20for%20BuzzTouch%20Push.pdf and let me know if anything is missing. Thanks, Alan

Out of curiosity, has anybody got notifications running in Self Hosting for iOS? I keep getting an error and haven't been able to figure out if it's me. Error sending Could not process Feedback from APNS (1) This is normally caused by an invalid APNS Certificate (tried your Production Certificate) Oops, a PHP error was trapped.
