Question for the Gurus

Hi guys, think i have asked this before, but i never got it sorted, is there a way of having 2 or 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen, i have tried varius methods, but when you set the buttons to horizontal, you get small icons on left bottom of screen, as you increase the size of the buttons, they move up the screen, is there any way of keeping them on the bottom of the screen Thanks Sean

Did you try the Paged Menu? Maybe it's the plugin you need! Cheers Jack

Its a grid format and only on ios, but i use the Susans menu buttons (great plugin) for grid buttons, it works flawlessly on both ios and android. Theres no plugin in the market that allows you to center buttons on the bottom of the screen, im surprised as im sure people would want this, all i need is to be able to have the buttons stay on the bottom when you enlarge them to fit your design/screen, I have had advice from David about fiddling with the code in menu buttons and it kinda worked on the ipad, but it messed with the layout on phones. ie made them vanish bit on phones. Thanks for your advice though Sean

I thought about that one, but theres few bugs with it, and i need to add my own background, plus its separate plugin for each system, so i would have to build 2 apps, Im gonna wait for alans new plugin, sounds like just what i need. thanks for your advice. Sean

the app is for both platforms and when David gave me some advice, i couldnt get it to work on xcode, it did work kind of on ipads, but it then messed with the iphone buttons, meaning i couldn't get the buttons to lie on the bottom of the screen for both phones and tablets, the xml is for android isn't it, problem i have is i try and do uni apps ie for both platforms, otherwise i have to design separate apps, thanks for advice LA, but I think Alans got new plugin out which allows you to have the buttons on bottom of screen as you increase the size. Thanks Sean

Nearly there with the plug-in, 2 days max. Just tweaking the control panel, tidying up the code, little things but they take time. It is going to be called Menu Buttons Plus. It is based on the original Menu Buttons concept, Plus a little bit more. My aim is to produce something that can achieve similar looking menus on Android and Apple devices. I found with the original buttons menu that it was hard to get something to work across the ever increasing Android screen sizes, plus there were a a couple bugs that I have tried to iron out. Buttons are sized based on how many items you'd like to see across a screen. So if you want four buttons in a row, four is what you will get, across all devices (well, everything I've tested on). Buttons will size for different Android and Apple screen sizes. There are vertical, horizontal and centred grid button menu layouts as with the original menu buttons, plus some button click transition effects (iOS only), text labels effects (bold, italic, bold+italic). There is also the option of a header image, which auto-fits without any distortion, even when the device is rotated. Alan
