Push Notification Design Mode?

Hi All, If my app is in the App Store, and is in Design mode, how can I change this to live mode so I can send push notifications? In the push notifications control panel it shows the distribution devices are in design mode, will publishing a new version of the app in live mode change this so the devices in design mode will show up as live mode? Thanks, Jake

Hey jake I'm pretty sure that when you send in your app for update or publication , you have to change the config file to live mode. For testing on your device leave it in design mode.

If your app is in "design" mode in the store, it must be have been a week or so since you compiled it. This means the register-for-push URL in your project does not have live or design appended to it. Devices are just registering. This also means that the default "live" mode will be used when devices register. You can verify this by looking at the list of registered devices...if they show live, you'll be sending push's using your Production cert (from apple). If they show design (which they won't) you'll be sending push's using your Development cert (sandbox).

But if I submit a new version to the App Store in Live mode, will these devices re-register? Jake

@Jake Chasan and @David Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I am also having the same problem my app is live on the App Store and in the BT_Config.txt in Xcode CurrentMode says Live, but all of the App Store installed devices that have registered say Design mode in the push notification console. * I just recompiled the app on my iPhone connected to Xcode and in the console it is appending Design to the end of the registerForPushNotification URL. The BT_Config.txt in Xcode shows Live as the currentMode, BUT I manually updated this from my control panel and did not download the project again before submitting to Apple. Could that be the cause of the problem? * I also want to note that I have confirmed that the BT_Config.txt in my apps .ipa file submitted to Apple also shows currentMode as Live.
