Use different images for iPhone and iPad (include portrait and landscape) images

I need to load a different background on iPhones and iPads included landscape and portrait version for the iPad. I have the 3 scaled images for iPhone working using the 568h source solution but now also need to resolve the iPad image problems. A search of the boards hasn't really provided any solid info or I'm not searching the right terms. Any assitance would be awesome! Thanks.

This is primarily for Background, Default and Splash images but I would love to fix the loading of the buttons to change as well.

I don't know if I saw it in the forums, or if I saw it on Apple... I'll have to hunt. But I do remember something about the 'ipad' images being named similar, but not the same. Something like, you know how you have @2X files? These ended in '~ipad.png' or something close... Let me snoop around... Cheers! -- Smug http://developer.appcelerator.com/question/105471/short-ipad-iphone-image-size-guide https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/App-RelatedResources/App-RelatedResources.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007072-CH6-SW12 between those two, you should be able to gleen out what you need (and disregard my comment about '~ipad'. I'm either remembering wrong, or still feeling the effects of the 60's)

I have the all of the properly named images but they do not load. The default load images work and show up but none of the BT screens are scaling to the proper image. After the load screen and splash finishes (splash does not use proper images either) then the background is loaded and it is not the proper images.

Ha! it wasn't the 60's after all! At least, not 'this' time. :) Here's a post where GoNorthWest lays it out... http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=46B65B7A29172CEE1E3F3C7&currentPage=89 Cheers! -- Smug

I have all of the images I need in the build but I can't get BuzzTouch to use the extended image sets. I'm guessing I need to implement something akin to the following: - (void) didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation) fromInterfaceOrientation { // Set UIWebView Background Image if (UIDeviceOrientationIsPortrait([UIDevice currentDevice].orientation)) { // code for Portrait orientation self->webView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"ui-background-portrait.png"]]; } if (UIDeviceOrientationIsLandscape([UIDevice currentDevice].orientation)) { // code for landscape orientation self->webView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"ui-background-landscape.png"]]; } }" The snippet is for a Webview and I need to use it for the Default, Splash & Background images from the BuzzTouch system. If someone could confirm where is the right place and perhaps help me universalize it so that it loads all of the Default, Splash & Background images this way, I would be set I think.

I'm 'just' starting to get into Xcode, so at the moment, I'll have to agree with whatever you say :) Cheers! -- Smug
