Newbie wanting to create a Spanish Iphone App

Hi Everyone, Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. I have setup a Wordpress website for my wife www.babelitos.com she offers Spanish tuition to all ages aswell as translation services. I am here initially to learn how to create a learning Spanish app to provide to students or anyone that's interested in learning Spanish. I have not completed a design yet and still trying to think how to structure the lessons as we may create specific units relating to certain areas. I am currently only making slow progress on this whilst learning buzztouch. I have a full time job as an IT Administrator in a school which is demanding and a 1 year old daughter so as you can imagine my time is very limited. I would love to hear from anyone who has any thoughts on our venture and any guidance or comments would be very appreciated. I would also like to try and change my career direction if at some point I feel comfortable to do app development working for someone else or for myself.

Hola Mr. Xcode! I'm afraid "muy bueno" is about all the spanish I can remember from high school. Still, I think you can find exactly what you need here at Buzz touch! Take a look through the resources, watch a video or two, and if you have questions, you've found the forum; ask away! Cheers! -- Smug

Have you looked on the app store to see what other language translation apps are available, and what features they offer that you'd like to see incorporated? That would be my first starting point...

The buzztouch community has translated the various strings used in the app into several languages, including Spanish. Here is a link to the translations and how to set them up.... http://whitebuffalomobile.com/Localization/localization.html

Thank you all for your comments. Sorry for a late reply like I said I have a full time job and I have just moved home and only just got my broadband working today. I am going to take a look at the links provided (thank you again) Chris1 yes I agree that is a good place to start I have had a look at some but need to continue looking at others. Does anyone know what is the best way of designing or mapping out a new app. Is there any process I should follow or just make notes about what I want the app to do.

I know Stobe uses iPhone templates to draw on when planning an app with a client of his. Something like this: http://dribbble.com/shots/728257-Free-Printable-iPhone-5-Templates?list=popular&offset=205 Just print out a sheet for each screen you plan to have in the app. Then plan away!
