cachedAppConfig

Hey, does anyone one why in two different apps xcode logs, one tells me: BT_fileManager: File DOES NOT EXIST in cached directory: cachedAppConfig.txt and the other: BT_fileManager: File DOES EXIST in cached directory: cachedAppConfig.txt What makes this happen? Thanks Miguel

It's related to caching documents. Some of the screens are cacheable, some aren't, and then some people set it to cache and some don't. When the file exists, it's been cached. When it doesn't it has to retrieve a new copy from your file location. Hope this helps! Cheers! -- Smug

Yes Thanks My problem is that i have the appdelegate.m to load a diferente BT config file depending on the devices regional settings i have it on two apps. On one app it detect or setinha and loads the correct file. In the logs after the it states that the appconfigcache file does not exist, it the. Loads the correct config file. One the second app, it states that the cached file exists, and it does not load the correct file. In this second app the only way I got it to work is, if I delete the app and then change the regional settings, it loads the correct file. Then, it always loads that file ignoring the settings. I'd have to delete the App again to have it load the correct file. It seems it decides to always use the previously loaded config file. So, something must be different in the apps package I downloaded from the server. I know the second app has a newer version. Thanks

You'll probably need to hit up one of the BT Gurus on this... I'm 'familiar' with the caching procedure, but I'm no expert. I'm curious 'why' two different configurations? If it's a regional thing, is it language? Can a different language file be used instead of a different configuration file? Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks. I'm trying to understand why it finds a cached version of the config file in one app and it doesn't on another. I'm using it to localize the content of the app, the content loads in english if the device is in english, or portuguese if its in portuguese. Thanks Miguel
