Eclipse 126 errors, 17 warnings in my first buzztouch project on self hosting server

Hi, I am new to Buzztouch and have installed self hosting server without any issues. I've created a simple app to test the server. The app has one rss feed and one menu. I've downloaded the project on my computer and after restoring the project, i get various warnings and error messages in Eclipse. I am not sure if the issue is related to the plugins I installed on the server or something else because when i was trying to install plugin, some of them were showing error messages when uploading them to the server using admin console. to resolve the issue, I unzipped the plugin file, browse through folders and then zipped the folder which contained plugin files (config.txt, readme.txt etc). These steps allowed me to install plugins on the server. I have tried to uninstall all plugins but not sure how to achieve this. for the list of warnings/errors, please check the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3jn6ycp79cf9ry6/Warning-errors.rtf I am stuck and not sure where to look, please guide me. Faheem

Give this doc a read to make sure you have the correct API's selected: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Let us know if you have any questions that don't get answered! Mark

Thanks for the document. I've created a couple of apps using buzztouch and was able to run it on the emulator. But unable to create from my hosted server which I believe is the root cause. ve tested other apps I created using eclips and they are working fine. Do you know know to uninstall plugins from self hosted server? Is simply deleting plugin folder from the installation location? I'll try uninstalling these plugins to troubleshoot the issue. Thanks

Careful on the refresh - it tends to repost your last message. What kind of errors are you getting? Did you make sure that you have your target set to Google API and not Android API?

If you need to 'remove' a plugin from self hosted, the easiest thing is to go to your 'manage plugins' on the self hosted control panel. If you 'click' on a plugin to bring up the details, among options to 'update' there is also a 'delete this plugin' link as well. Alternately, you can FTP into your self hosted sites 'root/files/plugins' directory and remove it manually, ensuring you 'refresh' plugins from the control panel. Cheers! -- Smug

Sorry about the duplicates, Thanks Smug, will uninstall all the plugins other than i am using to see if that resolves the issue. Chris, Yes the Google API is selected in the project. Here is the screenshot of the project window. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6r7egrc0r5e0zq1/javaerrosscreen.JPG Please let me know if anyone wants to have access to the project files to check. Thanks

Hi @Faheem, if you remove the bt_screen_menulistsimpleadvanced plugin first (which is the most error filled plugin), then do a project > Clean, that should get rid of most of the errors and we can take it from there. You can remove the java files and associated xml files in eclipse, but best would be to, as @Smug says, remove the plugin from the app in the project's control panel (if you're using it in the app), THEN remove it from the list of plugins in your plugin manager in admin, THEN download a fresh version of the project. *edit* Do it in that order because if you're actually USING the plugin in the app or any other apps, you won't be able to delete it directly from the plugin manager in admin until you remove it from use in your apps. Make sense?

Rav, you are a star. It appears that the menulistsimpleadvanced plugin was the culprit. I've uninstalled it from the server and it seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks guys.

Excellent news @Faheem! They're great guys at btmods, but they seem to have let this plugin slip. Don't let it put you off them though, as everything else they do is spot on.

You are right. I am using other btmode's plugins on my server and have not encountered any issues. It must be something I may have done wrong lol. On a different note: do you know if there is any RSS plugin for android you may have used on bt server 2.0? I've tried btm RSS but it's not compatible with android. I am just installing OSx on my win7 to see if I can use this plugin for iSO project.
