Splash image for Android

After I've added a splash image (local image, not a url) and screen to my app's control panel, the instructions say I will have to add the image file to the downloaded project opened in Eclipse. Add the image...where in the project? The /assets/ dir? The /bin/res/drawable/ dir? The /res/drawable/ dir? BT is somewhat vague on this...

My splash screen for Android lives in my 'res/drawable/' directory. Cheers! -- Smug Edit: If you have different images for different screens (mdpi, hdpi, etc) then you would want to segregate those images in the 'drawable-hdpi', 'drawable-ldpi', and so forth... but 'res/drawable' is the default 'look here first' android image directory...

I link my splash images to an outside url. That way I can change them on the fly.

I can't get any images to show up. I have them in the res/drawable, and since some are html, also in the assets/bt_docs folder (read that somewhere on here that those needed to be in there). Also have them all lowercased (which I'd known that at time I did it, but hey! first app). No errors appearing in LogCat...any advice?? Works in iOS, not in Android. Get text from app, but no pictures...and the html screens I made in Buzztouch say "Not downloaded yet"...what's up with that? Thanks!
