Android splash image?

I've added a splash.png to this dir in the Android project (in Eclipse): drawable-mdpi/splash.png ...but it is not showing up in my Android emulator which is also mdpi. Not sure what to do from here.

Try throwing it into the 'drawable' directory first... See how that comes out. It may not consider your image mdpi; try doing it 'generically' first, get it to work, and then enhance... Cheers! -- Smug

Nope. I have yet to add the image to the /ldpi/ and /xhdip/ dirs in /res/, but my emulator is telling me it's mdpi, and I have a splash image in that dir, but it does not show on startup.

Hi @perrytheweaver, Yes that should work. Logcat saying anything? Did you change the splash screen in global settings in the control panel? LA

Arghh...I didn't set the splash screen in the control panel settings! Didn't know that was an option! Is there a way to cut/paste json code from the control panel into my existing Eclipse project for this app? Or do I have to download the whole project again and reload into Eclipse? (The Xcode splash images are showing up fine as is.)

@perrytheweaver, It's under global themes, then under Splash screen. You shouldn't have to redownload anything because it should refresh I believe. LA

But I had to add another screen as the "splash screen" in the control panel, so I think the whole project changes, thus the need to download the whole thing again for Eclipse. Rats...

Thanks, SmugWimp! The images show up fine when put in the location you suggested.
