DROPBOX

Hello, finally I figured something out, which actually works... finally... my problem is that, at first I had a dropbox link something like this http://dl.dropbox.com/pic.jpeg but now I have something like http://dl-web.dropbox.com/EERU294KJAKSDMGNAD How do I get the link like the first link in the examply above so I can display it on my android device?

Did you put it into your public directory, then 'Copy Public Link' from Dropbox?

Open your directory in Finder, go to Dropbox, go to the public folder. Right click, go to the dropbox sub menu, choose 'Copy Public Link' That link you can send to anyone and they can view it.

Every DropBox comes with a Public folder by default. Are you sure you don't have one?

The only way you can include the file in your APP from Dropbox is if the file is in a Public folder. In Dropbox if you select show deleted files it may reveal your public folder? Mike

Here's what I do: 1) Share the file using dropbox.com using the "share link" button 2) When you click it, it will bring up a new page for just that file. 3) Close the popup box that appears on the new page, and then right-click on the "download" button at the top. 4) Copy the link and you should be good.

Dropbox 'dropped' public folders. Not entirely sure why; it was the main reason I have a DB account... When I registered a DB for my company, I had to create a new one from scratch. Create a new folder within dropbox. select the folder; right click. 'share this folder'. It will take you to the web where you finish configuration in your DB account on their website. Cheers! -- Smug

Smug, Not great news, but still good information to have. Thanks for clearing up the challenge.
