So im back to android again ..need some guidance

I was wondering, does the RSS plugin work for android? because in the emulator it said the application is having trouble on what to display. also soundboards, i saw the how to and that was for iOS. Did anyone succesfully make a soundboard for android? Those are the 2 main things i need for my app and would love any input on the subject.

Is there java code in there? I could be mistaken... Cheers! -- Smug (If there IS java code in there, which plugin is this? RSS? On the BT market, or somewhere else?)

Heck, all I can say is 'try it'. The worst that can happen is you'll get a million errors.... Cheers! -- Smug

I honestly don't think RSS works for Android, either from buzztouch or buzztouchmods. I haven't heard of anybody using it successfully. Mark

I haven't tried it. Yet. I'm wrestling with php sorting at the moment. I could use a diversion. Cheers! -- Smug (So far, nada)

It doesn't work for Android. Until a plugin that works appears, I use tiggzi to render rss, I've seen other people using rssinclude.

I use rssincludes, drop the JavaScript it produces in to an html page and it works a treat. The number of items it will retrieve is limited in the free version. I'm alsoway on the lookout for something better though. @ravevd, I looked at tiggzi, I couldn't figure out how to use it though. How did you do it? Alan

Hi @AlanMac - they have a step by step rss tutorial. It's pretty straightforward as long as you don't miss a step! The good thing is, they allow you one app with 3 screens for free, but once you download the source code (as html5, not an app project) you can recycle the app and build something else. The source code can just be dropped into the bt assets folder - or hosted online - and called with the customURL plugin.

@mysps, funny how a year old thread is still going strong but I bet most of us have never seen it! Looks like you're doing some good work there.
