Quiz Plugin Design Question

simple question really. How much creativity in terms of design, look do you have with this plugin. I have a client I want to use it for but I'm worried I won't have the enough options when it comes to the design and look of the quiz lay out. Any advice or comments are welcome!

Hi @Dragon007, It depends on what sorts of things you want to do. You can currently do text and image questions, along with True/False questions. You can change the background and text colors, and you can change the menu bar as well. And, since the plugin code is available, you actually have 100% flexibility to whatever you want, depending on how far down into the code you want to dig! What sort of modifications did you have in mind? Mark

If you get a bit creative you can have multiple levels using a button menu as an interstitial between levels, change the 'reward' option to 'next level'. Show an image at the start of the quiz and have questions relating to the image. Add a global leaderboard with submit score button - I use swarmconnect coz it's the easiest to integrate I've found. Unlock bonus content at the end of the quiz using the login plugin. And all sorts of other stuff with minimal coding..

Rave Do you have any apps live using the features you are talking about?

Hi, I am new to Buzztouch, Android or iOS and planning to use Quiz Maker plugin for an apps. I am unable to find any instructions on how to pull questions from a remote file or how to create that remote file... I would like to host the file(s) on my own server if possible. I am stuck. please put me back on track!

Faheem: you'll have your 'questions' in a file somewhere on the internet. The 'questions' file needs to be publically accessible, and you enter the location (url) in the 'dataURL' section of the quiz. The 'Questions' file will hold only quiz child items (questions) and will need to be in 'json' format to work. Here is a sample file you can use to test with: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/115208762/prequalquiz.txt Hope it helps. Cheers! -- Smug

Many thanks Smug. Will test it later tonight... One quick question, is there a way to add true/false questions? I am unable see any option for then in the plugin configuration. Thanks in advance.

You'd have to dig into the java or xcode to make it true or false only. A workaround - it's a bit untidy - is to put a character, like a full stop, in two of the answer boxes.
