Hi I am having some problems with the App Rater plugin and was wondering if anyone can help me. 1) Does it need to be a final release for the Positive button to work? I am trying it on my test phone, and when I press "Like" it starts to load the Play Store app, then displays a message "Item not found, Retry". 2) Some of the changes I make in the BT control panel does not effect the app. - I can only change the color of the first button, but can not change it for the other 2. Changes do not save - The email address that I put in for the negative button does not save - Button name change does not save Thanks in advance, Howard

Hi @SuVinay, The app is published in Google Market and I am using my actual phone for testing. I only have the design version on the phone not the live one. Does that matter? Thanks again, Howard

Hi @hasher13 i havent used the plugin since the design mode and livision version came up but i think you should try it in live mode..

Hi @Hasher13, Are you typing in the hex colour directly or using the colour picker? I've noticed in some elements of the control panel that typing directly into the box doesn't save the data, but selecting from the pop up saves the data ok. I'm thinking specifically of the quiz plugin, but it may be the same in other plugins. Haven't used the design/live mode, but as @SuVinay Pawa says, try live mode. Or better still, install the app from google play, it should work. Don't know about your other issues, it just works fine for me, sorry!

Hi @Rave, I have tried both, copy and paste and using the select option. Also why is there 2 areas to enter the button text? 1) under Rating Button Text, and 2)Ratings Button Color. Is the saved text under the Rating Button Text suppose to follow to the fields under Ratings Button Color? Thanks, H-

Not sure, might be an oversight by the dev? I've just used the rating button text fields and left them empty in the button color fields. Better wait for Sandeep to step in I think. I don't know why data would save on my server ok but not on yours. I'm using self hosted, are you?

Hello Hasher, I think i am jumping a bit late in this conversation since most of your questions are answered by fellow mates here on bt. This is what makes bt cool community. Everyone is ready to help here. 1. Your app needs to be published on google play store for the like button to work. Also it works only on the devices which have market app installed. On emulator or on devices without market app, the app will crash. 2. I too do not have self hosted cp and i have not used this plugin for any of my bt 2.0 app since almost all my bt apps are 1.5. But when i was testing this plugin i created a demo app and that worked fine for me on bt cp. So, i really dont know why its not working for you or whats missing here. 3. There are 2 different options Rating Button Text and Ratings Button Color because you can change the color of text on the button and also can change the color of the button itself. Hope this explanation helps you.

Hi Sandeep, thanks for the info. My app is published in Google Play and is live. The phone that I am testing does have Google Play App on it and logged in as myself. And for the button text field, why are there two areas to input the text that is wished to be displayed on the button. I hope that makes sense, but I still cant get the changes to stick. It only worked (changed the text color) for the "like button", but not the others. Any further input would be most appreciated. Thanks, Howard

Ok, so this is what I found out and works for me. If I enter the desired button label in the Button Text Field, under Rating Button Colors and save it. It looks like the the changes stick. When I exit to the list of screens and go back into the settings for the App Rater Plug-in, and check under the Rating Button Colors the text is gone, but they seem to have been copied to the Rating Button Text field boxes. And the changes are seen on my test phone. Not sure if that happens with others or that is what it is suppose to do but it seems to be working for the most part. Now I just have to figure out the color scheme. H-

Follow up! After all the above, if I go back into Rating Button Color section and use the select method to chose the text color it deletes all previous changes and resets it to default text...... H-

Ok, so I kind have worked around my issues. The text color for the buttons are still not saving, so I changed the color of the button itself which does save. The text stands out, but not as well as hoped. I am still having problems with the negative tap button for emailing. It saves the subject line, but not the email address. Or at least both are saved in the screen properties, but when tested the email address is not there but the pre-filled subject line is. Also is there a way or will there be a way that the color of the Title/info text will be able to be changed? Any help on the email problem would be appreciated, Thanks again, Howard

Still working to fix these issues. I still can't get the negative button to load the pre-filled email address on my device. I have tried other screens like "send email" that function the same and have no problems with that on my test device. Anyone have new suggestions? Thanks, Howard
