Problems building a project for archive

I am ready to submit my app to the app store and have gone through all the procedures in terms of obtaining certificates etc. The problem I am having is in regard to archiving my app project. When I try and run the app on my iPhone I get the following error message: Check dependencies Code Sign error: A valid provisioning profile matching the application's Identifier 'com.asquaredcommunications.asquared' could not be found It runs perfectly well on all simulators but I can't get it to run on my iPhone, so I am also unable to archive the app for submission. Also, when I go to add my device to the portal I get this error message: No value was provided for the parameter 'appIdName'. My iPhone is available as a device to test on but I can't get the app to run on it. Hope someone has some advice. Thanks!

Hey @themanwho66, Please try to keep one post to one question, so other people having the same problem in the future can refer to it. Original post: https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?fid=EB799319A6551039044A68A&tid=EB799319A6551039044A68A LA

Hey LA, I don't know how that happened! I didn't intentionally submit this again. Van I delete the duplicate post? Thanks

I think you may need to create provisioning profiles to go with your Certificates at developer.apple.com. The provisioning profile site allows you to add up to 100 devices that you can add your app to without approval of the App Store. Good luck, Mike

Hi Mike, I did create provisioning profiles to go with my certificate. Both developer and distribution provisioning profiles have been created. It does say in code signing drop down in Xcode that my profile doesn't match the bundle identifier yet they are named the same. I'm getting confused. Thanks, Andy

whatever Bundle Identifier you wrote in the dev center when creating your provisioning profile, make sure its the same as the Bundle Identifier in the summary tab in xcode. It may have the text that Buzztouch creates for you if you created something different in your dev center.

Bummer Look for spaces or anything different. Check the summary tab in xcode as well. Good Luck Mike

Thanks guys, but I am at a complete loss here and feel like I am wasting a lot of time 'spinning my wheels' and not getting anywhere. It shouldn't be this complicated. Thanks!

why don't you create a new certificate, but this time copy and paste the Bundle Identifier from the summary tab in Xcode to your new provisioning profile when you create.

Hi I have found when this happens to take off your developer id from the app id. So A5H6H34R.co.uk.mywebsite.myapp would now be co.uk.mywebsite.myapp. (In Xcode) Also, are the provisioning profiles installed in Xcode? And do you have the certificates installed in Keychain Access? To install either of these of you haven't, just double click them like opening a file. Thanks Ed

Ha! It was your comment that actually helped me. I hadn't installed the distribution provisioning profile into Xcode so that was why it was giving me headaches! I had installed the mobile development one correctly so I couldn't understand what was going on until I saw your comment. Nothing like learning from your mistakes eh!? :) Thanks for your help, Ed!
