At a complete loss

I am posting this as a new thread because I am at a complete loss! Can anyone assist me with this issue? I am constantly getting this error message: Check dependencies Warning: The Copy Bundle Resources build phase contains this target's Info.plist file 'BT_Config/BT_info.plist'. Code Sign error: A valid provisioning profile matching the application's Identifier 'com.iphoneapp.asquared' could not be found This is all despite re-creating all the provisioning profiles and app IDs etc. Do I need to modify the BT_info.plist file? Thanks

Are you trying to build for a device, or submission to the App Store?

Both. It won't let me run it on my iPhone 4S or build it for the app store. Thanks.

I had to come to grips with the fact that Apple, despite making great products, doesn't make it easy for developers. Getting my demos to run on Apple devices was more difficult that creating the app itself. As for me, I was in provisioning hell for a bit; I finally got it right; but it is indeed confusing. Did you follow these video tutorials? http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=CF5AF62394CA5C39A6E09C8&fid=BC70C36A743CD4FAD95D17F&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=18 Cheers! -- Smug

It is a shame. Apple makes $13 billion profit in a quarter and they can't keep their documentation up to date.

I know his pain. I had a heck of a time getting my certs in order. Its a good thing I shave my head... If I had hair, I'd have pulled it all out anyway. His error is related to a 'matching bundle identifier'. Ensure your settings are 'similar' (face it, yours are going to be different, yet 'the same') to my example. Your Xcode bundle HAS to match the provisioning cert 'bundle id' for it to work. In my example, my cert ends with an Asterisk (*) meaning my suffix can change. but the 'main' bundle ID must match. If your cert does not end in an asterisk, your bundle Id must match completely (with the exception of that weird alpha/numerical prefix). https://dl.dropbox.com/u/115208762/bundle.png And this example has no asterisk; the bundle ID must match exactly https://dl.dropbox.com/u/115208762/bundle2.png Keep in mind also that the provisioning cert you choose in the code signing is indeed the one for THIS particular Project, OR the 'wildcard' profile as a developer. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/115208762/Bundle3.png This is causing your issue, I suspect. The naming convention Buzztouch uses is com.asquared.com, so the one entered in Xcode/iOS Provisioning Portal is different, they should be the same.

Hey Smug! Thanks for all your help! I'll let you know how I get along with approval. Hopefully this is the beginning of many more apps. Cheers! Andy
