App content not showing up

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting as I am new to this forum. Here is my dilema: I have built 3 apps already through BT however, everytime I test them out through the emulator I am not seeing any content. I have downloaded properly through XCode and have followed everything to the tee. I've added the five folders that it said to add manually too. I've also made sure that the 'create groups for any added folders' radio button is checked and even tried on different emulators but nothing. When it comes up on the emulator I see my icon image as well as the name but when I click on it to see the content of the app it is totally blank, I just get a black screen. What could I be doing wrong? This is completely frustrating! BTW, I have also tried this through Android as well and I get the same thing except I don't even see my icon.

Welcome! Do you have a home screen selected in the "Layout/Tabs" tab?

Hi raveyd! Yes, I chose to do a "non-tabbed" layout and I selected "menu" as my homescreen nickname. For menu I used the BTA Design Menu. Could there be something wrong with that plugin settings?

@App Chick, Welcome to your first post! I would try first using a simple menu and see it that shows up and go from there. LA

Hi App Chick, Sounds like there might be something amiss with your configuration data. Like perhaps a strange character or something. Couple things you could do: * Go to the Configuration Data screen in your control panel for your app, copy the info, and paste it in at jsonlint.org. It'll tell you if something is wrong. * See what's happening in the Xcode debug console. If there is a problem, it'll get recorded there as well. Check out this tutorial on how to set that up: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Problem_Reporting_and_Basic_Debug_v1.0.pdf Hopefully this helps a bit. Let us know if you continue to have problems. Mark

@Mark I went in and did what you suggested. I first checked jsonlint.org & the message it gave me was "Valid JSON". I then read the PDF and did what it said but as far as I can see I don't see that there are any problems (not really sure what to look for though). Here is a screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/FyajGDqtIwt Here is a screenshot of what is showing up when I click on the app in the emulator: http://screencast.com/t/FBZQHwgxWg I didn't try the simple menu like LA suggested yet as I didn't want to lose all the data I inputted in the BTA Design menu plugin. Should I go ahead and do that though? Also here is more information as mentioned in the PDF so you can help me more: 1.) Buzztouch Version: v2 2.) IOS & Android 3.) Xcode version 4.5.2 (I am running it via Mac In A Cloud) 4.) Screenshots included above If you need more info let me know. My screenshot above did not include the whole screen but if you need that just let me know. Thanks, Anna

Hey @App Chick, The content not showing up on the screen? This is for Android correct? Can you give me an example of a file you are using and/or an image name? LA

Hi Anna, This is indeed strange! If you wanted, please send me your BT_Config.txt file, and I can take a look at it. Sometimes it's as simple as a strange character or something throwing off the compiler. You can send it to MrkFleming at gmail dot com, and I'll give it a look! Mark

Hi Anna, I've responded to a couple of your PMs, but I'm not sure the system is working. Please contact me directly at MrkFleming at gmail dot com, and we'll get things worked out! Mark
