As long as you don't need it tomorrow, you're in the right place! Something like what you want is easily done in buzz touch; but it will require some effort on your part. Once you've gone through the basics (Installing Eclipse, the BT University Android path) usually the first step (for me at least) is screen design, where I approach my app screen by screen and write out what functions I want that screen to do. Once I've drawn out (in my head or on paper) my basic design I create those screens in buzz touch and then start the modifications. There will be many times you feel like you're lost; don't give up! It's easier than you think, and there is always someone around who has gone through the same experience. Good Luck, and don't be shy about asking questions or details! Cheers! -- Smug

Great idea! I'm guessing you'll want to compile a catalog of sorts, and your singers will download the app instead of you having to maintain big bulky binders? Do you have your artist/titles in a spreadsheet already? If so, you might be able to generate the bulk of the work using the spreadsheet.

I have not done spreadsheet yet and I'm unsure what format and how many different spreadsheets I will need. I know that I want singers to be able to search by artist or title so I'm thinking every artist will need its own main spread with a subsheat for the songs and then all songs a main with just title and disk number

Well, 'in a nutshell' it goes like this: 1) Create your screens, actions, and other activities in the Buzztouch control panel 2) Once you're ready to test, you download the code, and compile it yourself. 3) Compiling the app will require Xcode for iOS, and Eclipse for Android. 4) After compiling, run your app on either a real device, or in a device simulator 5) Compile your app for release to App Store/Google Play 6) Sit back and accept compliments Of course, there is a bit to do in each line... If you haven't installed either Xcode or Eclipse, you'll want to do that. Also, a few other documents you might want to look at are these: http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Things_You_Need_Before_You_Start_Developing_Apps_v1.1.pdf http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf There are quite a few documents in the "How To" section of the BT Website worth looking at. Let us know if you have more questions! Cheers! -- Smug
