App Download In Self-Hosted

When I try to download an App in my self-hosted control panel, I get this error: Something Went Wrong. There was a problem finding the configuration data for this app. Can someone assist me with this? Thank you, LA

Check this out. Given the problems you've had on your server recently, this might be the issue: https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=E27B3A0C3988883464BD689

@GoNorthWest, Yes I do think that is the issue. David @buzztouch did not really give a resolution on how to fix it or did I over look it? LA

He did in the last part of his post. But I'm not sure how to tell you to implement it! I'll see if I can get his eyes on it. I know he's on the road today.

@LA are you installing this for the first time, if so hold back the new version will be out soon and David said it was a lot simpler to install. Saves messing around with upgrades

As you all' know, I'm on the road today and can't look into this much. But, there are only a few things that could cause this. In most cases, when a self hosted panel "can't package source code" it's related to "not finding the configuration data." A fresh copy of the latest BT_config.txt data is included with your downloaded source code / project. This means the self hosted panel needs to be able to create this config file when you download code. The file that's responsible for doing this is BT-server/bt_app/bt_appDownload_AJAX.php That file (BT_appDownload_AJAX.php) uses cURL to connect to your server to do this. This means that that server you're running on connects to "itself" to use the API in your control panel to do this. Some servers have trouble "connecting to themselves" when running this project. If this is the case, it's %99.9 of the time related to the way your server's web server (Apache) is configured. If you're one a shared hosting machine at an oftentimes "low cost" hosting provider, the Apache configuration isn't something you can change. Debugging this requires you to figure out where the bt_appDownload_AJAX.php file is failing. That file has a fnGetConfigData method that isn't working. This is where you start looking to figure out what's failing and why. It's a matter of figuring out why the cURL routine in that method is not behaving as expected.
