App suggestion. Buzztouch in 30 days

In the past guys like @GoNorthWest and many others have made no secret that they (like most of us) joined buzztouch because they couldn't code. But after getting involved they learned how to code. I think it would be a great idea if they were to produce a video tutorial app which explains in depth what each line of code does in buzztouch. All buzztouch code is more or less the same in each project and although the buzztouch videos are very good they only briefly touch on the class files etc. It would be great yo get a complete breakdown so we can all learn to speak buzztouch. This way when someone begins to talking code in the forum we will understand. I for one would be happy to pay top $ for an app like this. Could be a real money earner for its creator. I have looked at a couple of java books but find them a bit boring and the code does not look the same as in buzztouch. I don't really want to learn java from the ground up, just java buzztouch style. Does anyone else think this could work or am I just waffling nonsense.lol

You're not waffling nonsense, but I think what you want is just a copy of documented code. :) I'm happy to leave things to others. There is way too much to comprehend to do it 'all'. Praise to all those who can pull this sort of thing off, but that isn't me. I'm good at what I'm good at, and I do enough of 'everything' to get by. But if I try to do too many things I get confused, lol! Cheers! -- Smug

Great idea! I also would pay for the ZZ app. I think it should include the inner workings of what happens when you make a change in your control panel and the end user clicks the refresh button in the app. What exactly changesI on the end users device. Whoever creates the app has the potential sales of near 200,000. Not too bad at say......$9.99 per app.

Yep. I would happy pay $9.99 for a great video breakdown to learn coding buzztouch style. Don't forget it would require an android version and ios version tutorial so that's 2 apps, double that earnings estimation. Great money for someone who makes it. Any takers?

Hello everyone, I'm not sure how an App could work with this. I totally agree with you but since this has to do with coding, I would go with a tutorial like "Coding 101" or something. LA

This is actually a pretty good idea... Plus I am sure documented code would help pretty much everyone at Buzztouch with coding :)

Hi gang, David has talked about deconstructing an app for all of us to get an even better understanding. This is definitely in our "to do" list. Have a great weekend ! Ian

@Ian that's exactly the kind of thing I think would be great. Deconstructing something in my opinion is far more likely to stick in my brain (maybe I'm just weird) than building something from the ground up. I think if we are seriously wanting to advance ourselves then we really need to get our heads around the source code and perhaps even be competent enough to create our own class file and mess around. We could then choose to expand this knowledge as reading java books etc would make more sense (waffling again. Lol). Look forward to this. @LA that was the kind of app I was referring to. Something similar to btu 101. Short segments to digest over several days etc. Thanks

Hey @Mr stuck, But creating a paid App to learn about @Buzztouch, wouldn't that undermine the basic philosophy of Buzztouch? LA

Hello If I listen closely to David Book as he "does code" during the Webinars, he is dropping beauties of insight into the BuzzTouch code at a rate of 2-3 diamonds/minute! If each one of us takes a Webinar and documents it into a PDF, we may come closer to Mr. stuck's idea! I've started down that path for the JSON Webinar. Stay tuned, I will be emerging with a monster PDF of how to make a Plugin, modify a BT_Config file, use JSON data, etc. Now ... do you have any tips of how I can watch and rewind-watch the Webinar without driving the Missus nuts? :-) -- Niraj

@LA I would pay just to put some money into the developers pocket to cover their time for making the app. Besides with the new membership I am already saving loads ;) @Niraj that's an awesome idea. Will look out for your .pdf. But can't help with the Missus though :)

@Niraj Shah, No comment on the Misses..lol I have problems with the JSON also. Maybe we need to hold a "community webinar". LA
