Chartboost best practices?

I've been using chartboost for a while - I just want to make sure that I am getting the most out of it - my main questions are about the campaign settings.... 1. Is it a good idea to target specific countries or is it usually the best practice to target all countries at once? 2. Is there any benefit to targeting device versions? I've always imagined this wouldn't make much of a difference, but if anybody has had success with adjusting this setting I'd be interested to hear about it. 3. Should I mess with the financial settings? (as in: set a minimum cost-per-click and a minimum cost-per-install) Up until this point I haven't touched the financial setting....has anybody had success tweaking it? 4. What is the best practice for the "app filtering" setting - recently I have been experimenting with this setting. For my app "Fan Club - One Direction Edition", I figure the average age group of users would be maybe 7-15 so I set the "app age rating" field to block advertising of any apps rated 12+ or 17+. I also set the "app category" field to block advertisements from apps in the categories of action, cards, casino, dice, and sports. Am I misusing this setting? Whatever you put in the field is what the campaign will NOT show correct? I'm only asking because ever since making these changes, my app is hardly showing any ads :(

@hacerapps. Nice read and its interesting indeed. testing is so important.. About Chartboost...I wonder the same. Yesterday I realized that in two of the 4 apps that use Chartboost weren't earning the same or close to nothing compared to the others. I went to the settings and like you I blocked certain categories and at that time, during my first use of Chartboost, I thought it was to load advertisers from those categories. I removed it the day before yesteray and impressions are up.. I had a question about Chartboost more apps section. I noticed in your app more advertisers show up however in the simulator when I test it. its not the case.Only my cross promotion app that I specified to display is the only that I see. Are there specific settings for that? I looked everywhere and I couldnt find it. am i blind? Thanks!

Nope, not that I know of - I just go to the more apps setting, add the apps, then save Sometimes they don't show for a while...maybe it just takes a while for the campaigns to pick up. Let me know if you're still not getting it

Thanks. Once the app is live in the store I'll report back.
