Point of Sale Integration

Does anyone have any clue how to program some code for communicating with POS systems? I have a potential restaurant customer who wants customers to be able to order from the app. The owner wants the orders to go straight to their POS system...and I have no clue...

How does the POS accept outside info? Start there. You need to understand how it wants to see the data, and how to transport it. Check the MFR website for any documentation on communication, and read up on it. Good luck on this one! Cheers! -- Smug

@Jefe how are you creating the order form for the in app ordering? Would like to know of a good solution as I have made a couple of apps but without the ordering facility. I could create one using a html form generator but it requires a lot of time and logic, css etc. Just wanted to know if you knew a good solution?

@Mr Stuck, I actually use a different builder for a majority of the restaurant apps I'm doing right now, but I was looking to get a little more technical for a franchise restaurant. I wanted to see if it is even possible right now, before I spend too much time designing an order form.

Check out Square's POS app. Might save you a lot of hassle and open up new avenues?
