Fewer buttons and gesture UI is my mantra at the moment What I'm working on at the moment, the fold plugin design, swipe gestures. I'm trying to make my apps, without toolbar or nav bars.

Thanks for the article @MacApple. @Kittsy... I'm really looking forward to those menu plugins that you have shown demo of. It will help us all move forward and create beautiful apps as you've quoted before! of course Danny's sweet plugin are very well designed and those are always top notch. Too bad designing for android is a pain.

Hey @MacApple, I def. see using GIFS, instead of PNGS, making a rise. It just makes good marketing sense. If animation on the rise then, of course, GIFS should be also. LA

Interesting read! My new word of the day - "skeumorphism." I read somewhere that you can actually also do animated PNGs, but not a lot of browsers support them. And I think there is some good HTML5 animation stuff also. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Gifs are archaic and memory hogging, for the old ages of porn before broadband was fast enough to download video. Gifs react poorly on ios devices, bit of a reddit fan they take forever to load, I will only use gifs to split the layers in photoshop and make custom animations. Like what I did for the animated backgrounds, if I put gifs in as the image background, even using methods from websites they would stutter. On the reddit app on google it won't show the animated gifs on my mates tablet anyway. Html5 will e the future of Internet animation

Sadly, GIFS will go the way of their inventor, compuserve. (Which by the way is 'still around but mostly forgotten') Cheers! -- Smug
