updates to html pages not always showing in app (iOS)

I'm updating pages in my app control panel in BT, but they're not all updating in the app itself. Why would this be? After I change the page (html text), I close the page, then open it again in my control panel, and the change is saved, but after saying 'yes' to the 'this apps content has changed..." message in the app on my iPhone, I don't see these changes. Some, I do, but not all, so it's not consistent. I need to get these changes made and showing up in app ASAP - any suggestions? (BT1.5, BT hosted)

Hey @basement, Have you checked out your configuration file to make sure that the changes are being saved as it appears they are in the control panel? Just hit the Configuration Data link for that app, scroll through the config info, and ensure that what you think should be there is. If it is, and your app is configured with a dataURL and reportToCloudURL, then there is something else going on. Mark

Ah, true...Custom HTML/Text would be that way! Have you brought up the URL for that screen in a browser to see if the changes are there for sure? The URL can be found in the config file. The reason I'm asking all this is because some people have reported it appears the data is saved, but it ends up not being so. Just checking all avenues.

Make sure under advanced that you have force refresh checked, it may not be and phone is using cache of your page.

that worked, but the images on the page are now missing. The code's correct, the images aren't showing up though! The images were working before the code was forced to update, but the pics are stored in the xcode project and so should be showing up! I uploaded the images to my server and linked to them there in the app. They now show up, but why won't they when I reference them in the app as: <img class="centre" height="92" src="agency1logo.jpg" width="200" /> when the jpeg is in the xcode project file?

The code's a long way from correct (not yours, the wysiwyg output), but I guess that's not the issue.

That's a good question. I'm not sure that an image stored with the app would be available to a Custom HTML/Text screen. My thought is that screen would require everything to be a URL. I'll see what I can dig up. At least you have it working now! @raveyd is correct...the editor has some issues that need to be resolved still.

re: editor....yeah, I noticed the code was saved empty unless I re-saved it after changing the cache info. The images work with local links, as above, on all the pages I didn't update this morning. It's only the pages I amended that they don't work in, and they did before I updated them this morning.

Try clearing the app cache on the phone and see if fixes it, might be like a clean project in xcode.

So, the images are already in the Xcode project. You compile and run the project on the Simulator. Then you make an update to the Custom HTML/Text screen, and include an image that you know to already be a part of the app bundle running on the simulator. The images don't display. Is that correct? Anything in the debug console that might indicate what's going on?

the app's in the app store. I just updated it when I opened it on the iPhone, after changing the html, and the images no longer worked. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/unitedwaysl/id583310436?mt=8 Other than the fact that I'm using a live app, not one in the simulator, you're 100% correct.

Well, that's pretty strange. If the images are already part of the app bundle, and other images work in the same circumstance, then you'd expect the new ones to work as well! I'm not quite sure what the issue is. I'll assume that you've triple-checked the filenames and extensions. Let me chew on this for a bit. One workaround for the moment would be to reference the images via a URL like you mentioned earlier. Not the best solution, but at least it shows the image. Mark

yeah, that's what I did. I know. It's really really odd. To test it, I copied/pasted an image on a page that works into one of the pages I edited and it didn't show!

I had something similar before, to fix it I renamed the page, say from test.htm to test1.html and graphics showed.
