Extremely Amazing achievement for myself

To all at buzztouch, This might seem like a pretty crazy post but it's a pretty amazing achievement for me. I'm finally starting to understand how the gesture recognizers have started working and how they relate to the action methods.!!!! I am finally starting to type in a bit of my own code into my app in Xcode and am getting the wanted outcome on my device. I can finally understand how they relate so I am now able to create different gesture recognizers to do what I want. Although I'm pretty sure I'm going to run into a few problems that I may need help with I'd like to say thank you to buzztouch for bringing me this far, thank you.

Awesome. it's easy when you know how. I use swipe up to show actionsheets with share options. The posibilities are endless. I'm currently designing a tester app with buzztouch to show how, we don't need the tab bars or nav bars showing

Hey @armacfan, It's very rewarding to create an App on buzztouch. Sometimes it's even better when you code it yourself. I can remember when I coded a button on Android and got it to do something when clicked, I almost jumped out of my wheelchair..lol LA

Not crazy at all. Good to hear & share- You can't beat old fashioned Trail & Error. It's really the only way to learn. Always start at Hello World and progress from there! Keep hacking and keep us posted on your progress! We are the kind of geeks that like to hear this stuff. My wife could care less about my progress with something like the NSXMLParser. No fun at all!

Thanks a lot for the support guys. There's only a small prob though. I added all 4 direction swipegesturerecognizers an their action methods into three places because i will need them for all the screens . They are the blank screen , customurl, customhtml. I have inserted the same code in all the and it works 100% in the blank screen but in customurl and customhtml only the left and right swipes work. The up and down swipes and tap gestures do not work there. I should mention I have assigned all gestures as [self navLeftTap] to be assigned to act as the back button would. I'm not sure why it only works in the blank screen and not the other 2. Thank you

Yes what you have to remember is that the swipes have already been assigned to the web view, we swipe to scroll up and down the page

So I guess the tap gestures have been assigned too. Is there a way to use the gestures as the back button since I'm only using the customhtml and url screens for an image and audio. I will not be using the web view functions and no scrolling

you could try adding a uiview make it transparent then add the gesture controls to that uiview then add it as a subview you can do that in interface builder It would be just as easy to make a custom plugin

There are the right, left,up,down swipe gesture recognizers and a tap gesture recognizer that are all used for the back button function

Just so it will be much easier for an end user to navigate from the screen, and also the right and left swipe gestures that are working on the html screens are kind of lagging and sometimes you might need to adjust the pressure with which you swipe. so basically just to make it more user friendly

I use the side swipes in both them plugins with no lag. I would advise only using swipe right to left, that is the natural way for anyone to go back in an ios app without a navbar. You run the risk of overcomplicating it instead of making it simpler

I guess I should just stick with those then, it works pretty fine in the simulator but certain times on the device.. Anyways thanks a ton for the help.

Doing some basic coding in Xcode will always work a treat. It will help you resolve errors and hopefully build your own stuff, like plugins!
