Where is my API secret?

Hi, I am trying to install my self hosted BT controlpanel and now need to fill in my API secret. Where can I find this API secret? I can't find it anywhere... Much obliged! Robin

Hey Robin, Je kan het vinden hier: https://www.buzztouch.com/account/ dan ga naar: "Self Hosted Servers" dan klick op het server je hebt. dan kan je MODIFY zo dat je de API Secret kan krijgen/installen. God my dutch is horrible.. I miss Amsterdam. Tell me if you find it? It's a password you enter here. David https://buzztouchmods.com

$%@$^^*^&*)! I thought I could this on my own from here... but no. I created a secret (didn't have one yet). Filled it in in Server settings of my new BT server along with the API URL (https://www.buzztouch.com/api) But now it won't let me save the settings, Both "validating" and "saving" lead to message "Error saving?" What am I doing wrong? Thx in advance. Robin

I installed my BT Server, and found all of those variables on my BT member page (their site, not my site). Are you having issues 'locating' the values, or the values aren't taking? Cheers! -- Smug

Thx everyone for helping me out so far! @SmugWimp: 2nd is the case. BUT: I'm gonna have to put this on hold for now because I'm switching providers first. I'll get back to you guys if I get stuck doing it next time ;-) So far, Robin

Hey Robin, did you get this worked out? I'm not sure if it will help, but I threw up a couple of screen shots showing the 'general' concept of my servers config. On the Buzztouch side there is http://www.smugwimp.com/sharedfiles/BT_Side.png And on my Self Hosted there is http://www.smugwimp.com/sharedfiles/selfhosted.png I can't remember too much about the install, other than I setup my self hosted first, and then entered in the Data on BT which generated my API key. I know the API 'secret' is a secret that 'I' created and wrote down somewhere. Don't know if I can help, but if there is anything I can do to compare or assist, let me know! Cheers! -- Smug

Hi SmugWimp, Dunno yet. Waiting for my domain name to be transferred to new host before I install BT again. I'll let you know as soon as I do myself ;) Robin
