Looking to create a golf scorecard

Hello fine Buzztouchers! I am building an app for a local golf course (gratis) and I would like to incorporate a copy of their scorecard that can be filled out by the golfer as they are golfing and then saved to their app when they are done. Searching through the forum shows that its currently not possible using the excel plugin. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. BT 2.0 iOS Dave

Hi, I use an Excel Converter at http://www.spreadsheetconverter.com/ . The software can convert a spreadsheet so it can look iOS native and it works straight off your web server and it works off a web server and it allows input! I would defiantly recommend. Ed

Thanks Ed. Spreadsheet converter looks like a great solution except that I use a MacBook. I dont have a windows box in the house and I really dont want to put windows on my Mac. I do appreciate your input though. Thank you. Dave

You can run Virtualbox on your mac. Run a Windows XP machine with a 20GB virtual drive, works a charm if you would be willing to do it. Ed

LA- No. It would be pure luck if I could tell you exactly what a web server is. (I'm being funny) I'm still quite new to all of this so I'm still running off of Buzztouch servers. (Probably will for awhile) Someday I'll figure out how to install and operate from my own server.

LA- No but thats pretty easy to just copy the actual scorecard from the course and make the score areas fillable. Before I put the work into that though, I'm doing the research to see exactly how I need to implement it into the app.

Hey Ed, I'm trying to get VirtualBox loaded now. My son said that he uses it on his Mac so I figured what the heck. I'll let you know how I make out

Or you can send off your spreadsheet to spreadsheet converter and they can do it for you? Ed

Ok good luck! When you install XP etc, give it 1GB - 2GB ram and also run a windows update. I have to use it for exactly the same purpose. You will also need to go into the settings of the virtual machine, go into network and use a bridged adaptor. Ed

Ed- Cool, I have Microsoft Office for Mac, do I need to install a Windows version of Excel in the virtual Windows hard drive?
