Starting a few days ago the strangest thing happens... when run my app in the simulator or install on my device (iPhone 5) my custom home screen plugin doesn't load and instead all you see is the background picture. However when I hit the refresh icon at the top then the home page loads. But if I exit the app and come back in it's just the background again. I've updated my config.txt file twice and it keeps happening. I don't recall messing around with any settings in xcode itself but I must have done something. My home screen plugin is called xib_home. Deleting and reinstalling xcode didn't fix anything. argh...

Hey @mutzy, You installed a splash screen since last build? Did you change the Global to Splash screen? LA

No, the splash screen has been there for awhile, haven't changed anything with that. And actually the splash screen still works okay, but when it fades away the home screen plugin doesn't appear until I refresh. At that point the splash screen loads again but then my home screen appears. Doesn't make any sense but it keeps happening.

A few questions: Your splash screen an image, video, or animated image? What happens if you take away your splash screen, then does home menu come up? LA

Just throwing out some ideas here... Does more than one screen have the same nickname? Have you deleted/rebuilt the 'problem' screen? Do you have entries in both 'tabbed' and 'non tabbed' layouts? Can you create a new blank screen and set it as your 'home' screen for a test? Any change? If your test screen comes up fine, and your 'desired home' screen isn't, then of course, it points to something on your home screen. You could either delete and rebuild it, or inspect the JSON data to ensure it's got the right data in the right format... Just trying to jiggle something loose... Cheers! -- Smug

If I delete the splash screen the same thing happens. If I change my home screen to a different screen it does seem to work but another odd thing I've realized is that even if I take my current config.txt data from BT and paste it into my app when I go to run on my iPhone or the simulator it prompts me to refresh. It looks like it's not reading the stored config.txt for some reason.

And no, I don't have both tabbed and non-tabbed layouts, just non-tabbed. I don't think it's a problem with the plugin since when I refresh the app it loads fine.

Jumping in late, but did you try deleting the app from your device and simulator?

The same thing happened to me and it was a nightmare but i had it uploaded to the store and it came up with the test graphics i used when you downloaded it but when you hit the refresh it worked fine. I cant remember all i did but i ended up deleting the project in xcode and uploading the new source code to a new project name and submitting an update. It seems to be working fine now.

I believe I've had this problem before, and just recreated it in Xcode as a test. Not Cleaning after pasting the config.txt seems to generate the same behavior. Tim

Update: after deleting and reinstalling xcode, redownloading my project, deleting and reinstalling my splash screen, clearing my cache, deleting and reinstalling on my iPhone, and trying multiple other home screens I FINALLY came to the realization that the problem was with my custom xib button home screen. I have two other custom xib plugins and those both worked fine.
