QR Codes

Hey everyone, First off happy holidays! Hope you all are enjoying!! Silly question- what is the best way to go about implementing a QR code for a new app created with Buzztouch? Is this something that I would worry about once the app is published in the app store? I.e. use the custom app store URL for my app? Or is this something I need to take into account in some way while we are working on the app functions/code? Thanks, Josh

I don't think there is a right way or a wrong way. For what it is worth, I use a QR code as part of the marketing of the app. I use it to point to the app store URL when the ap is published.

Thanks Esher. Is there a particular QR code generator that you prefer? I noticed there are quite a few options online. Makes me think it may be worthwhile to program your own version to capture traffic thru your own URL? Appreciate your help!

Up to now, I use a freebie QR code generator to just embed the URL. I thought of analytics to monitor clicks etc as a separate issue, maybe I am missing a trick?

I have found a way to get QR's to direct people around the app. It's quite easy. QRs are to direct people to websites, so why not make a QR to tell people to download your app. Maybe make a few so each one looks different. This means that if people are just using their normal QR scanner, then they can't be directed around an app and won't be directed to a random website. Then install the Aurasma plugin. Then register the QR's as photos on Aurasma. After this, then all you need to do is link the QR pictures with the plugin and link it to other pages.
