Parse issue: expected identifier

Apparently the problem is in the 2nd line, anyone have any ideas?? //are we caching this image? delegate remembers was screen we are on... Dentify_appDelegate *appDelegate = (Dentify_appDelegate *)[[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate] ; BT_item *theScreenData = [appDelegate.rootApp currentScreenData]; Thanks, Tish.

Try writing it like this: Dentify_appDelegate *appDelegate = (Dentify_appDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; BT_item *theScreenData = [appDelegate.rootApp currentScreenData];

Thanks @Chris1, I tried this and resulted in even more similar errors! along with semantic issues =$ I don't understand why the errors are occurring even when I have used the BT quiz plugin to reach this stage!

Hmm - might need more information about what you are trying to do. Do you need to adjust the code in the quiz plugin? What effect are you trying to achieve that the standard plugin doesn't give you?

I didn't intend to change the plugin at all, but when carrying out the clean up and build, the initial error I got was that one relating to the parse error: expected identifier! I was just trying to get the quiz working in the simulator, but the build failed at this point!

In that case, I would try and redownload the source code.

Can you show us the whole method's code? Or re-download the source, that will probably kill your bug.

thanks for your suggestions guys, I gave in and re downloaded the source code and had to make all my modifications again =( it worked in terms of making the quiz plugin work.. but I encountered more problems at the point of testing when it wouldn't open in the simulator! back to the drawing board!!!
