New starter questions - views & screens limits? + more

Hi everyone! I've got a few new starter questions. I've looked in the FAQ, the account upgrade page and watched the first couple of BU videos but am still unclear - sorry. A few months ago, as a non-programmer I was looking for a solution to make a reference book app. I considered Buzztouch which seemed to be the most robust but ultimately thought it was unsuitable because if my app had over 100 pages then I would be required to use the most expensive option which I thought was too much for my first project. Also I wasn't keen on the idea of their being a limit on the amount of times the app could be opened. After considering hiring a developer I've found my way back here! But there is a difference between the account upgrade options and those displayed in the second Buzztouch university video. 1) Is there still a view and screens limitations on accounts- if there is what are they for each account type? 2) Is there a limit to the amount of plugins you can use on the basic account? 3) If I buy a plugin does the payment cover usage for all apps I make, or do I have to pay for each use in an app? 4) Does the free account really allow me to make 3 fully-featured apps or do they have limitations? 5) If I create a self-contained app that is uploaded on to an App store then I stop my account subscription to BT does Buzztouch have the power to kill or delete the app? If BT stops trading (hopefully not) and the app is self contained it should still work right? 6) Are BT apps only created for phone devices. Can you create apps that work on and are designed for the iPad and Kindle Fire screen sizes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Kratos and welcome back. I can try to help you with some of your questions. 1. Not aware of screen limitations. 2. Don't think so. 3. That plugin can be created with any app. 4. Fully functional apps. 5. I will defer this question to another developer. 6. Yes for IPad. Hope I helped some. LA

Hi @Kratos, Welcome BACK to buzztouch! @LA did an excellent job of answering your questions. A bit more info: * You can build as many apps as you want with the plugins you buy...no limit on the number of app, or the number of times you use the plugin. Buy once, use many! * No limit on the number of plugins you can buy or use for any of the accounts. * If you create an app, and buzztouch disappears (which it won't!), the app will still work. The only tie in from buzztouch to the app is the configuration data file, which you can also host offline and not be dependent on buzztouch to host. So, apps created now will last a long, long time! * buzztouch apps can be created for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iTouch), and the billions of Android devices out there. That includes the Kindle fire and anything that runs Android. I have an app in Google Play as well as Amazon. In addition, there are tools provided by Blackberry that allow you to convert your buzztouch Android app to run on their OS, so you can do that as well. Mark

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply. I'm guessing some changes have been made to Buzztouch which makes it seem much more attractive. I was unsure because of the upgrade options displayed int Control Panel Basics video. Wow I'm actually really excited to start learning some stuff and make my first test app. Cheers!

@Kratos welcome. Buzztouch done a great thing when they removed the screen limits so get stuck in. I came here myself as a total noob and so far have learned tons thanks the help of these forums but i am very much just a Buzztouch novice. I find myself being overwhelmed by the amount of info being thrown at me simply by following some of the big guns. I suggest you add the guys above to your following list and many others you will meet on your journey. You will be amazed at the amount of info that comes your way. Best of luck with your apps
