Game

I have an idea for an App game but developing games are a little out of my league at the moment. There any developers that are good with games and would be interested in partnering up with me, send me an email on here or post and I'll email you with more details. Thank you in advance. LA

What kind of game is it? As long as it's not a complex 3D that's gonna cost $10,000+ you may want to check out oDesk

@ianjamespiano: Good idea but I'm not into competitions. @Absentia: As I have posted a few times here in buzztouch, I'm in a wheelchair, so it involves a wheelchair. LA

Hi @LA, don't assume game developing is out of your league! Take a look at 'Construct 2' and see what you think.

Yes, I bought a license as an xmas treat to myself last year! Haven't used it as much as I should, mainly because I've had no good ideas and no time. For me, the hardest part is graphics, characters etc, but the game mechanics is quite understandable. It's certainly powerful enough without needing to custom code, but you can do that too. Writing the game mechanics is sort of like writing a story for each game element in a logical way. The free version gives you enough to build quite decent games, and any version can be dropped into a bt project's assets folder.

That is cool. So I would need an image with a person in a wheelchair. How do I get that? LA

Thanks @ianjamespiano! @LA, graphics... the bane of my developing life! Dunno.. clip art sites? Creative commons? http://search.creativecommons.org/ Pay someone? http://fiverr.com/ might be good, I use the site a lot, work is usually pretty good for 5 dollars.

haha, good find! To make a character in a game, you need to make a sprite sheet - a number of images that when put together make an animation - so one of those animated .gif images could be loaded into fireworks or gimp or something and the individual frames saved - bingo! images for a sprite sheet.

Neither did I 12 months ago lol! If you go with construct 2 or gamesalad or some other creator, there're guides for all that sort of stuff, no need to worry about it. Same as buzztouch, dig in and see what happens!
