Problems with Provisioning Profile Renewals!

I'm having issues renewing my Provisioning Profile Certificates, keep getting these error messages: No value was provided for the parameter 'deviceIds'. or There is no iOS certificate with ID 'Y62RVL6389' on this team. Not sure whats happening here. What would happen if I delete every Provisioning Profile in my Apple Dev Control Panel and recreate all the profiles again? would it effect apps that have already been published? Any advice would be appreciated.

Apps that have already been published will be OK, no worries on that front at all. Have been there a few times - many of us have - with cert woes.

Thanks for the advice, I was panicking! What happens to published apps when their Provisioning Profile Certificates approach expiry, in Dev centre? can I delete these certificates and not worry about expiry date or do I have to renewal published app certificates?

I believe Apple re-sign apps once they are published so renewing certs will not affect anything, Apple have used their own to publish.

So is the purpose of the certificates solely for testing apps on devices and submitting apps to the app store?

I've been there a few days ago. I got the same error from Xcode. I cancelled the expired certificates from the provisioning portal, refreshed/resync Xcode and then I created new profiles on the portal. I had a profile that expired during the app review process but the app got approved and it's on sale so I guess theyr purpose is to make sure it's you that signed the binary submitted. Whatever is on the app store now (or already submitted for review) won't be affected.
