Hey @stonesfan71, Your JSON is throwing an Exception and looks like its trying to fetch your link but the return is empty. Did you change your setting on the control panel in global to splash screen? LA

Hello @stonesfan71, So, where do you stand on this at the moment? I brought up your current configuration file using the dataURL that you shared above, and it shows that you have removed the Splash Screen (good idea!). Have you verified that in the Layout section you have specified your Menu List screen as your home screen? Mark

By the way...warnings are OK. You'll see lots of those. It's exceptions, crashes, and issues that preventing compiling that we're concerned about.

Hello Mark, I removed my splash screen. I did not verify in the Layout section that the Menu List Screen is the Home screen. I will do that going forward. I used every suggestion that I found online to refresh my emulator. Run in debug mode, Clean the project, Fix Project Properties, Refresh Project, Reset ADB settings. When I load that same JSON file without the splash screen in it, the emulator launches with the splash screen. I am reinstalling Eclipse and Android SDK, and ADT plugins. (according to your document actually). If I am still having a refresh issue after all this, I'm going to try compile the .apk and test it right on a device.

Sorry that you're having to do all that reinstall...it shouldn't have anything to do with it. Your entire app is driven by the JSON found in the configuration data file (BT_Config.txt). When it gets out of sync (local copy vs. server copy), strange things happen sometimes. Here's a video I did that shows how to sync them up: Quick Clips : Sync Your Configuration Data File https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp2vL1XCPC0 It's crucial to ensure you have a default home screen configured in the Layout section, otherwise your app doesn't know what to open first. You can choose from a Home Screen Layout or a Tabbed Layout. Hopefully you're doing this for installing Eclipse: Twenty Minute Tutorial : Installing The New Android SDK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFGF3_r9YIA Let us know how it goes. Mark

Cool. If you get really stuck, we can do a TeamViewer session and we can figure out what's up. Just let me know! Mark

Mark, Just as an update. I reinstalled Eclipse and Android SDK according to your instructions. The environment is a lot better. I also deleted and added the layout to my app and I'm starting to make some progress. However, I now have a new issue that I'm wondering if you can assist me on. I'm trying to add the image gallery plugin that is provided in this link below. https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=193C0FFB5D09EAA06E6E922&currentPage=1 I'm trying to make this an offline image gallery as it is instructed. I've set up the html and tested the scrolling of the images using dreamweaver. I'm setting it up so when you tap one of the menu options it loads the gallery. When I created my menu list, I set the menu option so it would go to the custom html/text file of that name. The problem I'm having is in the emulator when I tap the menu option it loads the custom html/text screen. All that I see is the "html" text in text format and not the images. I think I'm running into a configuration issue. Any suggestions? Thanks Marc
