Not perfect, but progress!!

Guys, Just to keep you informed, and in particular for info for David, Mark and Keith. Today I continued to get the weird appdelegate error. I completely uninstalled xcode and reinstalled it. Great guide here for anyone that needs it. http://tuts.pinehead.tv/2011/08/29/how-to-uninstall-xcode-from-mac-app-store/ Whole process took no more than 20 minutes. So, I create a new app, delete already appropriated screen, add new screen. At it to tabbar layout, and download the source code. As I get the plugins into xcode, before even adding the custom plugin I get the weird appdelegate warning. Several builds, refreshes, scratches of head and cups of tea later, it works. During the last 2 days of trying not a single project has loaded on 6.0 sdk sim. Current one is now loading on 5.1 sdk sim and iphone 5 ios6! Blank screen on 6.0 sdk. I only have 1 test tab currently, and am almost scared to add another as I've been here before. I dont mind issues if I understand how/why they were fixed. The problem with issues like this is there seems to be no logic to either the errors, or when they occur, the fixes. All thoughts, as always welcomed, I'll keep you updated, if interested. All the best, Alex

Haha, gets weirder! So, I add a second tab to the tabbar, custom URL. Build and run, appdelegate error on custom URL plugin. However, app can be refreshed and Custom URL is in the second tab behaving as it should. So I know it is xcode. Next move. Delete the plugin. Clean and close down xcode. Open xcode, add the Custom URL plugin and clean. Run initially in the 5.1 sim, it works, run on iphone 5 ios6, it works!

Hi Alex, One statement concerns me : "as I get the plugins into Xcode." When you download your source from buzztouch or your self hosted server (the source actually comes from the same location), it includes a BT_Plugins folder. That folder contains subfolders with ALL the plugins the you own, both free and paid for. You may or may not use all those plugins for each project, but they are all there EACH time you download your source, and in it's entirety. You need to drag the entire BT_Plugins folder into Xcode. Not just individual plugins, but the entire folder, and all the plugins that it includes. You could, if you wanted for some reason, delete plugins that you're not using, but there's really no reason to do that. Mark

Mark, I was about to post! I have it figured and you are completely correct. As you say, the plugins are included in the BT plugins binder. However not all of my plugins are there, some random ones but I can add to it by adding the plugin to the control panel. So I'm now adding the plugins to the control panel, downloading the source code and all those plugins are there. I failed to notice this before so in essence was trying to import the same plugin twice. As of now I have 4 tabs working with gallery, tweet sheet, photo fx and custom url! Hoooray!

Awesome! Yeah....you may as well grab all the free plugins you can from buzztouch and install them...you never know when you'll need them. Great work getting things up and running! Mark

Not without great help from your good self, Keith and David!! I think I was a little stuck in the 1.5 mindset. Its the same as a lot of things, once it clicks, it clicks! Much appreciation Mark, hope Keith has a good deal on a mac for you :) Stay in touch.
