Are there any CMS tools

That are set up like buzztouch. I am sorry for the completely naive question. Here is what I would like my specific app to do. I want to have articles and pictures so it would look like a simple list menu but instead of each list item would be an article that can be clicked on and expanded. My question is then, is there a web service like buzztouch but handles CMS so I can just upload article content weekly and just point to each url in the app? Our web server is windows based self hosting this content does not seem like an option. Again, apologies for my uneducated question.

Welcome to BT! Don't believe we've chatted in the past so a belated welcome it a welcome all the same! There is no such thing as a naive question on here ask away. Have you though about using Wordpress in conjunction with BT? I reckon that would get you where you want to be. With the plugins on here complimented by WP plugins you could easily build a solid news app.

Thanks so much MacApple. I will take a look at this. I took on this app task for fun and I realize that I can very quickly find myself in very unfamiliar territory :) I am completely new to this type of programing and my past experience with programming is just barely enough to make this doable. Buzztouch is workable however. Really my app only has to be a streaming radio app but I want to have the ability to have articles and even perhaps podcast archives. Thanks for the heads up on Wordpress.

Spokane? really? Hey Neighbor! Welcome to Buzztouch! MacApple has a great idea...however Have you look at the plugin market yet? A think you may want to look into PSM Danny's https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=EF1AA98408AA4E656C3F7BD Getting yourself a self-hosted account will be ideal too at some point. However not needed with the plugin Unable to send you a PM because you don't have it set up on your account. Love to connect with you and talk geek. Meetup Group is in the works. My favorite spot is Chairs up north. Send me a email if you want to connect [email protected] Love seeing this in my community! YEAH! Sheri

Hi Sheri! Thanks for pointing this. I will check this out for sure also. A plug in sounds like the easiest way to get up and running but I have to spend a little time learning. I think self hosing may be more than I really want to get involved with but time will tell. I appreciate the invite too! My plate is pretty full right now but let me know when you get some meetups going. I really only have one app to work on but that one app my consume a lot of time and energy :)

I really like the look of Danny's plug in! The bad news is that I am going to need something to work in both iOS and Android and Danny's is iOS only :(

One step at a time! Buzztouch is a fantastic community and you will be able to get lots of help! Both Android and IOS resources are here too. I believe I had heard that there will be other plugins coming down the pike that have streaming audio. Danny's website is: http://bt-addons.com/ he has a newsletter that you might want to sign up for ...he had mentioned something coming out soon....but again apple. Keep asking the questions and searching around. Another forum you want to check out is stackflow too. I generally go to youtube too. Best of luck and welcome again! Good to see a spokanite on here!
