Is there a bar code type plugin. I am making an app for a restaurant and want to be able to store a points card on my app so when clients can store there card on my app. Then when they come to the restaurant they can go on my app and scan there card for points. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!

I've been working on a native QR Code scanner, based on the ZXing code, but no luck so far. It's a bit more difficult than I anticipated. I know quite a few people have been interested in a native scanner for buzztouch apps. Hopefully we'll see one soon.

I had hopes for one as well, but I ran into a number of issues with different SDK's Dont know if this would work, but a workaround could be that the app could store a QR code on it and when the customer came in they could have it scanned. If the restaurant system could use it as a %off coupon with scanning it could work? Not sure if that is an option or not. I would have to image that even with a bar code plug in you would still need to talk to a database to track Users, Scans, etc. I havent tackled Passbook yet, but this may be option, depending on your coding skills?

Yes that is true. But I would need some kind of system where users would enter there own card numbers and have it saved on the app. Kind of like cineplex app with scene points card. If you guys figure something out let me know. Im not a good programmer so i would not be able to to that. Thanks for the help anyway.
